Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein
One of Great Britain's most popular leading men of the silent era, Stewart Rome starred in this action-melodrama set in China. Rome played Bernard Jarrold, the black sheep son of an aristocrat who battles one of the screen's many ersatz Mata Haris. French screen pioneer Fabienne Fabreges co-starred as Rome's long-suffering wife. Like most of his American contemporaries, Stewart Rome suffered a career setback at the changeover to sound but continued as a supporting player, more often than not cast as aristocrats or military officers.
