synopsis
This Pathe comedy begins as two wealthy daddies draw up a marriage contract between their children. The boy and girl don't like this set-up, and both run away from home -- albeit in opposite directions. Several misadventures later, hero and heroine realize that they're "made for each other" after all, and the marriage finally takes place. Variety dismissed the plot line as "unlikely" -- as if moviegoers of the period truly craved Real Life. Well photographed, The Other Way was rendered even more attractive via Pathe's meticulous color-tinting process.
