Tommy O'Haver directed this true-crime biopic about the kidnapping of atheist activist Madalyn Murray O'Hair (Melissa Leo) in 1995. O'Hair founded the American Atheists organization and led efforts to ban Bible readings in public schools, including a landmark Supreme Court ruling in 1963. Her fiery protests over the years garnered many enemies, culminating with her violent kidnapping. Adam Scott, Peter Fonda, and Josh Lucas co-star.
