Synopsis by Hal Erickson
After months of breakups and reconciliations, the marriage of Lou and Edie Grant (Edward Asner and Priscilla Morrill) seems to be spiralling to a close. On the advice of a marriage counselor, Edie has moved out, leaving Lou an emotional wreck. Helping matters not one iota is clueless newscaster Ted Baxter (Ted Knight), who chooses this moment to "make his move" on Edie. Originally telecast on October 6, 1973, "The Lou and Edie Story" won an Emmy award for writer Treva Silverman.
