Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Magic of the Kite is a children's film lensed in France and China by two separate production companies. The kite of the title is endowed with strange powers, which can be used for good or ill. Young Patrick De Bardine is the principal beneficiary of the kite's magic. Though economically produced, the film makes full use of its well-chosen Paris and Peking locations. Magic of the Kite was released in the U.S. as part of a TV package comprised of foreign kids' films.
