Synopsis by Nathan Southern
The enchanting real-life tale at the heart of this adventure documentary begins in 2008,. That year, an English exploration team that consisted of Sue Collins, Nigel Skinner-Simpson and Andrew Collins discovered a series of mysterious and long-forgotten caves - discoveries engendered via exhaustive calculations and copious research, and by a rediscovered archaeological journal that Henry Salt composed in 1817. Later, a scientist named Dr. Zahi Hawass made the caves the focal point of a unique reality television program. This documentary intercuts interviews with expedition members with dramatic reenactments of Henry Salt, and seldom-seen photos of the Giza cave system.
