Successful novelist Stanley falls into a downward spiral of self despair following the death of his young son, but gets a new lease on life after being granted three wishes from a mysterious stranger. Once a loving father and happy husband, Stanley finds his marriage falling into a hopeless state of disrepair due to his suffocating grief. Now, Stanley's creativity has completely dried up, and he's about to throw away his marriage.
