Synopsis by Perry Seibert
The Kite, Alessandro Angelini's conflagration of fiction and documentary techniques, casts actual street kids playing thinly veiled versions of themselves in a project that utilizes dialogue the kids created. Fourteen-year-old Enrique (Luis Enrique Urrutia Laguna) picks coffee beans in order to raise a little money for his poor family, but soon his father forces him to go find his missing older brother with nothing more than a possible address as a clue. Enrique meets up with Mario (Mario Jose Rizo), a member of a local gang. The two become friends, and negotiate the mean streets together.
