Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Marguerite de la Motte comes through with an excellent performance in this romantic drama. Before he goes to France to fight in the World War (there was only one in those days), George Prothero (Matt Moore) proposes to Rose Trenton (de la Motte), but she turns him down. When he returns home blind and proposes again, however, she accepts him. After a while, she realizes she only felt pity, not love, and breaks off the engagement. Prothero's friend, Sandy Sanderson (Ralph Graves) also comes back from France and he and Rose fall in love. Prothero seems to bear him no ill will and the two pal around together. Then one day, Prothero returns home alone from a horseback ride and claims that Sanderson has been blackjacked and killed. Coincidentally a letter arrives explaining that Prothero's eyesight was restored weeks before by an operation. Prothero finally breaks down and admits he was the one who attacked Sanderson. Although Sanderson has been hurt, he is still very much alive, and he and Rose are reunited.
