synopsis
Produced and directed by Whitman Bennett, this minor society melodrama features Mildred Harris as Claire Bowdoin, whose blue-collar mother (Dorothy Kingdon) is arranging for her to marry handsome Prince Novokian (Jean del Val). The prince, alas, is grabbed instead by a certain Miss Callahan (Winifred Barry), the daughter of a wealthy chocolate manufacturer (J. Moy Bennett). Down but far from out, Claire accepts a marriage of convenience to steel magnate Philip Durban (Lionel Barrymore), only to discover that she is falling in love with her husband and he with her.
