Anna Q. Nilsson stars in this heavy drama. When he is accused of stealing from his business partner, Donald Grey (Albert Favernier) dies from the shock. Angered by her father's fate, Florence Grey (Nilsson) decides to seek vengeance on his partner, Decatur Burnham (William Reynolds), through his son, Alan (Chester Barnett). When Alan comes home from college, Florence vamps him until he falls deeply in love with her. This causes a rift between father and son. Frank Lyons (William Bayley), an office clerk and the man who was the real thief, breaks into the Decatur home. During an argument, Alan knocks down his father and leaves the house. Burnham regains consciousness and is killed in a struggle with Lyons, who then rushes over to Florence's home. He begs her to run away with him; instead, she gets him drunk and gets him to confess to his crimes. Alan, who believes he has killed his father, shows up on her doorstep and when he discovers Lyons there, he believes that Florence is untrue. But when Florence -- who has come to the realization that she really loves Alan -- reveals what she has done, and that the police are on their way, he understands.
