Synopsis by Clarke Fountain

The excesses of the pro-life, anti-abortion alliances in the United States are clearly portrayed in this documentary. While the film definitely allows each side in the ongoing American abortion debates to have its say, it is difficult for all but the most committed not to be taken aback at the hoopla surrounding the "Nuremburg Tribunal II," a mock-trial of abortion and abortionists and a two-day anti-abortion rally taking place in Nuremburg, Pennsylvania. The strategies planned by the pro-life activists are unveiled, as they set up communication networks and election plans, as well as carefully worked-out techniques for harassing family planning workers and their clients. The Rev. Pat Robertson is shown campaigning for pro-life candidates, and a terrified pregnant woman is seen attempting to enter an abortion clinic while being physically detained by anti-abortion activists. Newsreel footage of clinic bombings is also included. Curiously enough, many of the same people who argue for a strict interpretation of the Biblical commandment, "Thou shalt not murder," are shown to be strong supporters of the death penalty.
