Synopsis by Steve Blackburn

Originally released in 1958, this film features a look at the war in Korea only a few short years after it ended, and before the United States had become embroiled in the Vietnam conflict, thus lending the program a different perspective than subsequent documentaries on the subject. Fought from 1950-1953, this bloody, post-nuclear conflict caught America without a realistic Asian policy or military strategy, and it ended without the clear victory Americans had come to expect after World War II. Highlights include interviews with soldiers and officers, newsreels, and combat footage.
