Synopsis
Chronicling a 2001 expedition on the Alaska coast that followed the exact route of one taken by industrialist E.H. Harriman and an array of scientists and artists in 1899. Both trips got as far north as the Pribilof Islands in the Bering Strait, and the latter journey's purpose, says narrator Tovah Feldshuh, is "to understand change [and] to witness the differences that a century can make."
