Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
Documentary filmmaker Nili Tal follows four young Israeli women of Brazilian descent on their quest to track down their biological parents after living with adopted families in Israel since the 1980s. In the 1980s, the best hope for aspiring Israeli parents unable to conceive was to adopt children from Brazil. Over the course of that decade, approximately 3000 Israeli families flew to Brazil in order to adopt. From the remarkable story of the women who reunites with her sister thanks to an old newspaper photograph to the twins to attempt to track down their parents in northern Brazil, these are the stories of the adopted children who have made it their life's mission to discover their true origins.
