Synopsis by Hal Erickson
With Barney out of work, generous Fred arranges for him to get a job at the rock quarry. When it is revealed that he is the long-lost nephew of quarry owner Mr. Slate, Barney ends up as Fred's boss--and not surprisingly, his ego swells to impossible proportions. Can this truly be the end of the friendship between the Flintstones and the Rubbles? "Fred's New Boss was the series' last episode to be telecast in black and white (though it was filmed in color), and the last to feature the "original" opening credits and theme music.
