A typical early silent melodrama, The Dangling Noose starred Harold Lockwood as a cavalry officer whose rival (Guy Oliver) is an unscrupulous Indian. The two come to blows over a question of water rights and the Indian is eventually defeated. Leading lady Stella Razetto, whom the two main characters both love, was the wife of the film's director, Edward J. Le Saint.
