Elizabeth Subrin's 18-minute short feature The Caretakers concerns a belletrist in residence at a prestigious artist's colony, who runs head first into a massive case of writer's block and feels completely dominated by her frustrations. When she is visited by an unexpected guest with a very clear agenda, however, that encounter makes her problems with creative stagnancy seem comparatively small and insignificant.
