Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Jimmie Bates (Robert Harron) is the town bad boy, full of pranks and always getting in trouble. He neglects his sweetheart Mary (Mildred Harris) for the attentions of the more sophisticated Ruth (future flapper Colleen Moore, in her very first film role). But one day, Jimmie's fed up father (Richard Cummings) beats his son nearly senseless, and the boy runs away from home. He hooks up with a gang of thieves and spends some time in jail. When he gets out, the gang wants to rob the bank in Jimmie's home town. But Jimmie will have none of this, and he is wounded when he tries to foil the robbery attempt. He is arrested as the culprit, but escapes and is nursed by the waiting, ever-patient Mary. When he regains his strength, Jimmie tracks down the real perpetrator and captures him in his father's yard. The crook admits that Jimmie turned against the gang, and Jimmie is vindicated in the eyes of his family.
