In the first segment of the program, host Michael Moore asserts that while violent crime has gone down in the United States, corporate crime has gone up. He forms a corporate crime watch unit and becomes a corporate cop. His first target is CR Bard, a company cited for violations involving illegal heart catheters. Moore travels to CR Bard's headquarters with a parole officer, offering to take the three convicted employees, who had appealed their cases, to prison. Moore also begins a neighborhood watch program to keep an eye on the corporation. In another segment, an Awful Truth reporter travels to Canada to investigate the relocation of a Molson beer plant in Barrie, Canada. Molson decides that the current employees will not be allowed to transfer to the new plant in Toronto because of cultural differences, even though, as the correspondent points out, the two locations are only 45 miles apart. Throughout the program, Moore celebrates the ideological victory of the South in the Civil War by drinking mint juleps as a band plays "Dixie" in the background.
