This Russian animated version of Rudyard Kipling's tale of a boy raised by wolves became one of the most popular children's films in its home country. Brought to the U.S. as part of the deal between Films by Jove and Russia's Soyuzmultfilm Studio, the picture was remastered and dubbed into English, with voices of popular American actors added to give it a wider appeal.
