Synopsis by Hal Erickson

The famed "barber of Seville" Figaro (Luis Mariano) experiences further misadventures in this lighthearted musical adventure. Figaro's splendid singing voice attracts the attention of a gang of bandits, who kidnap the hapless barber and force him sing, the better to lure potential victims into their clutches. Upon escaping, Figaro is fingered as a criminal by one of his victims, so he decides to hide out in the Sevillian army. He is shipped off to the Spanish colony of Puerto Rico, where he not only becomes a reluctant war hero, but also rescues a local beauty from an unwanted marriage. The film is strictly a vehicle for popular Italian recording artist Luis Mariano, who fulfills his acting obligations with exuberance if not brilliance.
