Synopsis by Jonathan Crow
Liu Piu-lun directs this campy independent horror flick that fuses tropes from Asian and Western horror genres. The film opens with a blue collar laborer Fatty Cheng (Kent Cheng Chuk-see), who is struggling to make ends meet, saving a beautiful young lass named Siu-chang (Ma Bo-ming) from a potential freak accident -- a toy car thrown out of the window of a high-rise. Unfortunately, Siu-chang's manages to cheat death only once. Soon after almost being brained, she is run down by a drunk driver while getting medicine for her ailing mother during a rainstorm. The suddenness of her death leaves her spirit wandering the earth, restless for revenge. When her mother dies of sorrow, everyone remotely connected to Siu-chang's murder dies horrible. One poor soul even ends up being pelted to death from a cascade of burning toy cars. The remaining survivors turn to a Taoist priestess to save them from supernatural peril.
