Given 40 dollars by his dad, Red (Kurtwood Smith), to purchase a Christmas tree, Eric (Topher Grace) reasons that he and his pals can spend the money on themselves if they cut down their own tree. Hyde uses his share of the loot to impress Donna (Laura Prepon) with an expensive gift , but it turns out that he may have to take it back to the store. And when Laurie (Lisa Robin Kelly) spikes the Christmas punch, Fez (Wilmer Valderrama) is transformed into a "chick magnet."
