Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Eric (Topher Grace) finally tells Grandma (Marion Ross) why her visits are so unwelcome. It wouldn't hurt her, he insists, to be nice to his folks. Evidently, Eric is wrong, since Grandma "responds" by promptly dropping dead. As Eric spends the rest of the episode suffering pangs of guilt -- and nursing a black eye -- his mother, Kitty (Debra Jo Rupp), doesn't quite know how to respond to the tragedy, especially since, with Grandma no longer around, she can go back to smoking. Pat Skipper guest stars as Marty, the slightly light in the loafers brother of Red Foreman (Kurtwood Smith).
