Synopsis by Clarke Fountain
In this slice-of-life film, a real Indian circus sets up for a performance in a small town. Along the way, a cross-section of Indian society comes in to play amid the colorful performances of the circus. The townspeople are richly entertained by the simple spectacles and clowning, but the circus was brought into the area in order to solicit votes for a political candidate. At some point, the election process cuts into the circus' earnings, and the circus owner takes out his frustration on one of the star clowns.
