synopsis
This heavy-breathing German sex melodrama was based on Gina Kaus' novel Devil Next Door. Lili Palmer plays the intensely jealous wife of composer Curt Jurgens. The harried Jurgens final decides to give Palmer something to be jealous about. Palmer gets her revenge by committing suicide and arranging the evidence so that Jurgens will be accused of her murder. It's Leave Her to Heaven with schnapps and strudel, but Devil in Silk is so well made that you forget you've seen it all before.
