Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka

This is an engaging, behind-the-scenes documentary on the making of a Canadian music video for famine relief in Ethiopia. Starting with the moment when the project first lit up a corner of the producer's mind, to the harassing and cajoling efforts of the rock organizer as he works on recording artists to make a solid commitment, the documentary then looks at the marathon recording sessions themselves. There, viewers see the likes of the late John Candy and Anne Murray, along with musicians who range from Neil Young to Joni Mitchell, all doing their thing in-between sets and takes. More than a bit of music is also featured.
