Shogoro Nishimura's subpar softcore melodrama is one of the Nikkatsu studio's most preposterous, and least successful, spin-offs of its popular Danchizuma series. Kazuko Shirakawa stars as Reiko, an adulterous housewife whose lover is a foul-tempered yakuza gangster. After one of her husband's friends spies the amorous duo at a no-tell motel, the stage is set for murder, and the film then takes an abrupt nosedive off the credibility cliff with one of the silliest denouements imaginable, even in a genre not particularly known for logical resolutions.
