The inhabitants of a depressive urban apartment building stew in their malaise until an explosion of rage sparks a horrific act of violence in this entry into the 2005 Vancouver Film Festival from director Zhang Lu. A white shirted man glowers at the woman sharing his apartment between sessions watching a television poetry show. Increasingly disgruntled by his living companion's mysterious transgression, the enraged poetry fan's anger gradually builds until he reaches the breaking point and is compelled to attack.
