A girl discovers just how different she is from the rest of her family in Ulku Oktay's Zilo. Acik yara (aka Open Wound) by Ahu Ozturk concerns a man returning home after a death in the family and discovering some unusual secrets. And the tricks memory can play are played for laughs in Kucuk bir hakikat (aka A Small Truth) by Emre Akay. Kars oykuleri (aka Tales From Kars) was produced from the winning entries in a short screenplay competition sponsored by the Ankara Cinema Association and Festival On Wheels; Kars was a stop for the Festival On Wheels' traveling program that year, and organizers chose to make the city the focus of their script writing contest.
