Synopsis by Clarke Fountain
This scripted drama re-creates the 50s music scene of small towns in southern Sweden and tells the story of an apocryphal jazz group, The Sven Klang Quintet. The four musicians are a happy group until the fifth, a sax player, sits in on one of their sessions. It seems that he inspires all the players but bandleader Sven Klang, and he questions the bandleader's authority. This black-and-white feature was a runaway hit in Sweden at the time of its release in the fall of 1976.
