Survivor's 16 newest castaways arrive at Goshen Station, a remote outpost of the Australian Outback. The contestants are then split into two tribes: the Kucha (Alicia, Debb, Elisabeth, Jeff, Kimmi, Michael, Nick, and Rodger) and Ogakor (Amber, Colby, Tina, Kel, Jerri, Keith, Maralyn, and Michael). It doesn't take long for several conflicts to develop, many of them sparked by the contentious behavior of Debb. At episode's end, the Ogakor emerges triumphant from the first Immunity Challenge, and a member of the Kucha tribe is unanimously voted off the show. This Emmy-winning premiere episode of Survivor's second season was originally telecast just after Super Bowl XXXV -- earning spectacular ratings in the process.
