Synopsis by Clarke Fountain
Ramzy is a purveyor of light pianistic entertainments in the bar of a high-toned hotel in Cairo. This doesn't please him much, as he was classically trained and his primary allegiance is to "real" music, but it's a living. However, when he learns that he is to be let go, he finds the offer one of his customers made far more interesting than he had before. It seems that the man, a millionaire, has a yen to learn to play the piano and be a nightclub performer. In return for lessons from Ramzy, he will repay the musician by letting him learn the kinds of things millionaires know. At the same time, he is having an ever-more difficult time with his sister-in-law, whose house he lives in. Leaving his wife behind, he returns to his mother's house to live. While there, he has an eventful but short-lived affair.
