Synopsis by Cara Saposnik
A controversial and dynamic figure, Chief Justice Earl Warren is the focus of this compelling portrait. 1950's America was not totally ready for the torrent of change unleashed by this unconventional man. Of his activist policies, perhaps the best remembered is the integration of Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1957. This video, narrated by Gregory Peck, features interviews with people who knew Warren and also features others who have been affected by his legacy. This documentary is a dramatic tribute, not only to one man, but also to the dynamic relationship between basic principles and the U.S. system of law.
