Synopsis by Sandra Brennan
An amoral capitalist is the protagonist of this drama written by one of Hollywood's famous "Ten" (the first people in the American film industry to be black-listed by the House Committee on Un-American Activities). The capitalist in question will stop at nothing to have the lion's share of the American pie. In the end he gets exactly what he wanted, but then the consequences of his actions begin to catch up with him. In the end, the despondent remorseful fellow attempts to take his life; unfortunately he fails. Fortunately, a devoted woman who has remained loyal all along is there to help him his mend his ways and lead a better life.
