This colorful version condenses the many events from the book into a single, easy-to-follow sequence, in which the nasty stablehand, Mr. Filcher, steals the magnificent stallion for his own nefarious purposes - labor in the coal-mines - and The Squire's children, Polly and Bertie, come to the mare's rescue.
