A maverick army diver rediscovers his true calling after being demoted by his superiors and forced to join the Air Forces 40th Search and Rescue squadron in this Danish disaster drama from director Hans Herbots (Falling). Iron-lunged diver Rick Symons doesn't like authority figures, and treats his orders more as suggestions than direct commands from his superiors. Accused of going to far during a top brass military reception, Rick is demoted to the Air Forces 40th Search and Rescue squadron by his commanding officer. Upon joining the Sea King helicopter rescue crew, the swaggering superman has his ego checked during an uncomfortable encounter with feisty medic Alex, whom he previously embarrassed during a crucial training exercise. But just as Rick starts to consider an early retirement, a distress call rings out over the airwaves: a ship is on fire, and it's sinking fast. When lives are at stake there's no time to spare, and in order to ensure that everyone gets off the ship safely Alex and Rick strive to put aside their differences and work together toward a common cause.
