Synopsis by Hal Erickson
The Speeding Venus is Emily Carol (Priscilla Dean), forced by circumstance to embark on a cross-country motor trip. It all begins when John Steele (Robert Frazer) and Chet Higgins (Ray Ripley), the two nephews of Ford-like auto manufacturer Jed Morgan (Charles Sellon) compete against one another to develop a car that needs no gears -- and to win the love of Morgan's pretty secretary Emily. Chet turns out to be a crook, stealing John's blueprints and hopping aboard a westbound train to file his patent. Emily climbs into John's gearless car and races toward the coast, hoping against hope to outdistance Chet's train. Ah, yes -- exciting, isn't it?
