A project of Britain's Southern Television, the military TV series Spearhead was the brainchild of Simon Thebolds. When the program first aired on July 18, 1979, the main characters were all members of the Six Platoon, B Company, Wessex Rangers, and all were stationed in Ulster. Later on, the protagonists were transferred to Germany; finally they ended up in Hong Kong, at which point the series was rechristened Spearhead in Hong Kong (what else?). The final 50-minute episode was broadcast in 1981.
