Filmed in 1978, the mystery Skeleton Key sat on the shelf until 1980, when it was shipped off to TV. Gordon Raitt plays a young, hotshot reporter. New in town, he doesn't know yet that there are some people above suspicion--especially the powerful family that virtually owns the town. Thus he operates alone and under great durress when he investigates a suspected link between the family and governmental corruption. Mary Stahl and Sam Babbitt costar.
