Synopsis by Sandra Brennan
In this drama, an up and coming New York musician finds himself between rock and a hard place when he must choose between becoming a commercial success and staying true to his self-imposed musical mission, which is to write songs commemorating the struggles of his grandmother Lila, a school teacher who was persecuted for holding 'radical' beliefs during the McCarthy years. When Hope discovers Cy and his political songs, she helps him cut a recording contract with the highly exploitational Noxious Records. Still Hope becomes Cy's biggest fan and encourages to write radical music. His first hit becomes "Point of Order." Cy becomes increasingly interested in exploring the past, but unfortunately, the record company and his band want to become more commercially accessible and so pressure him to write more conventional songs.
