Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Set in the 1920s, the British miniseries Shabby Tiger focused on Prunella Gee as Irish serving girl Anna Fitzgerald. Swept off her feet by charismatic Manchester artist Nick Faunt (John Nolan), Anna plunged headlong into the bohemian lifestyle so prevalent amongst creative people of the era. Along the way, she found that hedonism had as many drawbacks as benefits. Adapted from a novel by Howard Spring, the six-part Shabby Tiger was beamed out by Granada Television from July 11 to August 22, 1973.
