Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein
Based on a magazine story by L.V. Jefferson, this Universal "Blue Streak Western" starred the tough-looking Art Acord as Art Stratton, a deputy sheriff investigating the death of rancher Cliff Barton (C. Montague Shaw). Barton had incurred the wrath of a local banker, Seth Tolliver (Tom Lingham) and was killed after withdrawing all his money from Tolliver's bank. In love with the murdered man's daughter, Thora (Alta Allen), Deputy Stratton goes in search of the missing money while Tolliver plans to have his son (William Quinn) marry Thora and take over the Barton ranch. Stratton manages to locate the money bag but is mistakenly assumed to be the thief. The money is handed over to Thora, who is soon under siege by Tolliver's henchmen. Having cleared his name of the false charge, Stratton arrives just in time to rescue the girl and apprehend the Tolliver gang. Prolific western villain William Quinn (real name: William Jack Quinn) is billed "Jack Quinn" in this film.
