synopsis
This routine but informative documentary concerns the residents of the Phoenix House. The drug rehabilitation center located outside of New York City serves people who come voluntarily as well as those who choose the program over jail time. The daily routines of group and individual therapy are illustrated as the staff and patients discuss prospects for recovery and monitor progress.
