Synopsis by Rovi
In "The Mirthmakers," host Orsan Welles (John Candy) studies famous comedians like funnyman Bobby Bitman (Eugene Levy) and sex therapist Dr. Cheryl Kinsey (Andrea Martin). "Happy Endings" commence as anchorman Earl Camembert (Levy) makes up things rather than deliver bad news stories. Earl's influence carries over into tonight's SCTV Triple Feature Movies: "Drum of the Congo Rats" with Robert Mitchum (actually Joe Flaherty), "Desert Rat Drums" with John Wayne (John Candy), and "Drum Rats in Outer Space" with gosh-knows-who (Dave Thomas).
