synopsis
In this costume epic, set during the Russian Revolution, a young nobleman, along with his maid, escapes from his homeland to Constantinople. There the two marry and begin a new life as commoners. However, the aristocrat has trouble adjusting to the daily toil and grimness of his new existence.
