Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
Independent writer/director Taegan Carter follows-up his 2008 feature debut The Shiftling with this adaptation on Rudyard Kipling's story The Strange Ride of Morrowbie Jukes, which follows the journey of a man named Morrowbie who becomes separated from his wife when their caravan is attacked by Indians on the Oregon Trail. Desperate to find her, Morrowbie inadvertently wanders into a heavily-guarded colony for the mentally-ill situated deep in the forest. Now, before Morrowbie can track down his wife and get her out of harm's way, he must find a way to slip past the eagle-eyed soldier who keeps careful watch of the colony's perimeter.
