Synopsis by Dan Pavlides
Two Chinese brothers fight themselves and their father for the affections of their father's beautiful young bride. The poor brothers divide time between a communal farm and their father's fishing boat. This is the first Chinese film written and directed by a Caucasian. Director Terry Bourke caused a great deal of controversy when he defied the local censors in their attempt to edit parts of this independent production. The Board of Censors was concerned that the film was an inaccurate representation of Chinese people and lifestyles.
