Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka
This children's film set at the turn of the 20th century features -- among other circus performers -- the trained bear Fram (interpreted by Fram, the Polar bear), and Geo (Adrian Vilcu), a young boy growing up to face underlying human truths while working in a circus. Cezar the clown (Octavian Cotescu), Fanny the high-wire artiste (Carmen Galin), and Madame Lisette (Gina Patrichi) a glamor queen are the focus of attention until a disastrous fire brings tragedy and forces the circus to start traveling once again to earn money. At that juncture, both the Polar bear cub Fram and Geo undergo a separate kind of "training" as each learns lessons in their own way. Members of The Bucharest Circus are among the cast.
